yesterday was my last working day at sportlink bedok. my mind was in a confusion, it's hard to explain. i remembered the first day i stepped into sportlink was a week before i ORD. i was randomly looking for a job near the central, then i walked passed this sport shop which says that they were looking for full-time staffs. Without thinking any further, i walked in towards the counter and the first person i approached was seow wei, the senior store manager which take charge of the outlets in the east area and sold her beauty to sportlink for almost 10 years I remembered i asked her : " Do you still need any people to work." She replied:"Yes, we do. You helped me to fill up the employment form first." After i inked the 2 full page of informations, she proceeded to a simple interview, and finally she asked the precious sentence:"When can you start working ?" I said:" The following monday."
the days working under seow wei was challenging, stressed, and was professional for sure. there was never one time to think of relaxing, there will always be matter to due with for sure. For some of the staffs which can't tolerate choose to leave because her lecturing of staffs was really scary and she will always mentioned the first name of the person. Her voice was as sharp as the ones on the cactus. Her rapports was so good. The method of approaching rude, impatient etc customer was none other then thumbs up.
There was another other person i had to mention. David lee, formerly a asm which is now the sm, the charge of the outlet. cartoon figuring and games will never leave his mouth. :) His style of convincing people to purchasing goods was very special : " you want a not, want a not, want a not." it would be more funny if you hear it in person or me posing as him. :)
so i worked as a full timer for almost half a year before leaving for my polytechnic education. When ever there were holiday, i would returned to work as a part time. Not long ago, there were rotating of in charge here and there. seow wei transferred to interlink located at queenway shopping centre near ikea, and david take over to be the in charge. as a outlet needs at least 2 in charge, guo xing(joker) from whitesand outlet was transferred to bedok to be the second in charge. working with him was never boring at all. this guy was filled with endless jokes and laughters. he always displayed welfare to his part timer , never let his" babies" feels hungry.
A big thank you to the 3 in charge.
Not forgetting all the part timers which i worked with before. You guys had made my stay at sportlink a valuable one and unforgetting. i will miss you people deeply.
Lastly , working here i learned a lot. most importantly, I learned how to tolerate people.
